This book follows the Merdeka Curriculum, which focuses on studentcentered learning, skill development, and meaningful learning experiences.
Through this book, students are encouraged to learn English not merely as a
school subject but also as a means of understanding stories, ideas,
experiences, and the world around them.
This book consists of five chapters, each presenting themes that are relevant
to teenagers. We believe that learning English should be engaging, enjoyable,
and meaningful for students. Therefore, each chapter offers a sequence of
activities designed to promote critical thinking, collaboration,
communication, and creativity. The learning activities integrate the six
language skills: listening, speaking, reading, viewing, writing, and
presenting, allowing students to develop their English proficiency in a
balanced and meaningful way. To help both teachers and students navigate
the learning process more effectively, this book provides clear learning
objectives, guided learning tasks, QR code-supported listening activities,
chapter reviews, reflections, assessments, and enrichment activities in every
chapter.
